How WSR Group Ltd. handles personal data on this website — the short version, followed by the formal version.
Who we are
24hseriesesports.com is operated by WSR Group Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House number 14327353) with its registered office at 44 Tyburn Lane, Pulloxhill, Bedford, England, MK45 5HG. WSR Group Ltd. is the controller of personal data processed through this website under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR where it applies.
You can reach us in writing about anything on this page at info@worldsimracing.com.
The short version
We try to collect as little as possible. We do not run targeted advertising, we do not sell data, and we do not embed analytics SDKs that build cross-site profiles. The site uses:
- cookieless first-party analytics (Vercel Analytics + Speed Insights) to count visits and measure performance,
- embedded YouTube broadcasts via
youtube-nocookie.com(no cookies are set until you click play), - a registration link to a Google Form for team-roster changes (data goes to Google and to us).
That's the full picture. The rest of this page is the formal version.
What we collect and why
When you simply read the site
- Aggregated traffic counts (page views, performance metrics, rough geography) via Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These services run cookieless, meaning no persistent identifier is stored on your device. Your IP address is processed transiently by Vercel to derive an anonymous visitor count and is not retained in identifiable form.
- Functional storage: the site stores your theme preference (light/dark/system) in your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring how the site performs (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Cookieless analytics is the minimum needed to run a functioning website; if you object, contact us using the email above and we will discuss it.
When you click into a YouTube broadcast
YouTube videos are embedded from youtube-nocookie.com, Google's
privacy-respecting embed origin. No YouTube cookies are set until
you click play. Once you play a video, YouTube/Google may process
your IP address, device type, and viewing behaviour under
Google's own privacy policy
— we have no access to that data.
Legal basis: consent inferred from your decision to click play (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
When you submit the driver registration form
The "Open driver registration" link on /enter opens a Google Form
hosted at docs.google.com. The form collects the information needed
to add or remove a driver from a registered team's 2026 roster —
typically driver name, team affiliation, iRacing customer ID, and
contact details.
When you submit:
- The data is sent to Google and stored on Google's servers under Google's privacy policy.
- WSR Group Ltd. receives the responses and uses them to update the
championship roster published on
/entries.
Legal basis: contract performance (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) — your submission is needed to fulfil your team's participation in the championship.
Retention: roster submissions are retained for the duration of the 2026 season plus one year for record-keeping, after which they are deleted from our systems. Google's own retention is governed by their policy.
What appears publicly on the site
Once a driver is registered for the championship, their name, team,
car number, class, and declared country are shown on the /entries,
/standings, /results, and per-round pages. Where an iRating is
available from the upstream Driver Scout enrichment, it is also shown
alongside the driver name on /entries. This is part of running a
public sporting championship and is included in the participation
contract.
We do not publish driver email addresses, real-world locations beyond country, or iRacing customer IDs.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not currently use tracking cookies. The site stores:
- a theme-preference key in your browser's localStorage (essential / functional storage — no consent required under the UK PECR),
- a cookie-notice acknowledgement in your browser's localStorage, remembering that you have seen the cookie notice (also strictly necessary).
If you click play on an embedded YouTube broadcast, YouTube may set
cookies on the youtube-nocookie.com origin from that point on. Those
cookies are governed by Google's policy and you can manage them
through your browser settings.
Who else sees your data
Our processors and recipients are:
- Vercel Inc. (USA, with EU SCCs) — hosting and cookieless analytics + speed insights.
- Google Ireland Ltd. — embedded YouTube playback (only after click-play) and the registration Google Form. Joint controllers for the form submissions; processor for telemetry on the embeds.
- iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations LLC — upstream source for driver and entry data shown publicly on the site.
- XtremeScoring and Driver Scout — third-party scoring and enrichment providers we read championship data from.
We work with the Virtual Competition Organisation (VCO) on broadcast and event production, but VCO is not a controller of any data this website processes.
We do not transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA except via recognised legal mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions). Vercel's EU-based hosting region is used by default.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you,
- request correction of inaccurate data,
- request deletion of data we no longer have a lawful basis to hold,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- restrict processing while a dispute is resolved,
- receive your data in a portable format,
- withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis.
To exercise any of these, write to info@worldsimracing.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you are based in an EU member state, with your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13.
Drivers and team representatives in the championship are typically at least 16. Applicants under 16 may still participate where their parent or legal guardian has given explicit consent; the team representative is responsible for retaining evidence of that consent and producing it on request (see the Terms of Service for the full eligibility statement).
Where consent of a parent or guardian is required by law for the processing of a child's personal data, we collect or rely on that consent before any such processing takes place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days before they take effect. Minor edits will be reflected here without a notice.
This policy was last updated on 30 June 2026.
